This is to acknowledge the excellent work you and your staff did at New City America in aiding the Downtown PBID in its re-certification drive during the summer of 2001. As you know, Downtown El Cajon represented one of the first property based BIDs in the state and under the new legislation, and therefore, we were one of the first to go through a re-certification process.

Your expertise in BID Management District Plans, your relationship with the stakeholder groups and your great working relationship with our Downtown Manager, Claire Carpenter, all led to an overwhelming 218 vote in support of the district at the end of June.

Your work allowed us to increase the district by 40%, substantially increase the annual budget and include some major players in the Downtown revitalization process. On behalf of the City of El Cajon, we thank you for the work you performed for Downtown El Cajon, Inc. and the City of El Cajon.
